Tapas/Moroccan

Only a few steps from the Theaters. Moroccan/Spanish inspired food.
Moderately expensive. Wine bar and many hot and cold tapas selections
for a quick snack before the theater. Front dining room and bar area
has inviting atmosphere enhanced with attractive wood floors and
tables. Non smokers are ushered to the back where Moroccan style
lanterns and large mosaics try, with little success, to add warmth. On
our last visit Iona ordered sea bass on a bed of Moroccan flavored
stewed vegetables. The fish was very moist and flavorful inside, and
the outside was seared quickly to achieve a nice crunchy texture. Dan
had tagine, a wonderful Moroccan stew made with chicken and served
in a hollowed out acorn squash over tomato cous cous. For desert we
shared a chocolate phylo fantasy consisting of layers of phylo dough,
chocolate ganache, and chocolate gelato. Yum!
