Can’t afford the time or expense for a trip to Turkey? Take a trip instead to Highland Park, NJ for Turkish atmosphere and cuisine. No pork products are served (and no fish or seafood for that matter). All meats and chicken are Halal. Various hot and cold appetizers in the range of $3.75-5.75 including several vegetarian selections such as grilled eggplant salad and chick pea puree. 

Don’t miss the rolled pastry with Turkish feta cheese and parsley, or the refreshing shepherd salad of chopped fresh Roma tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, scallions and parsley. Main courses ranging from $13.50-22.50 include various grilled meets and chicken, most served with either rice or bulgur pilaf. Also several vegetarian entrees served with rice or couscous. Save room for one of the desserts, which will be oozing with sweet syrup.
